Refunds and credits
What this is
When you can and can't get money back at VPSDime.
72-hour money-back guarantee (first service)
Your first VPS comes with a 72-hour money-back guarantee: if it isn't right for you, cancel within 72 hours of the service being delivered and, in good standing, we'll refund the full amount.
To get the refund, within the 72-hour window:
- Submit a cancellation request for the service from your client area, and choose Immediate (not "end of billing period"), so the service is cancelled straight away. See Cancelling a VPS.
- Open a ticket to request the refund. Refunds aren't automatic, you need to ask for it.
- It covers your first service with us. Additional services don't include the 72-hour guarantee.
- After the 72 hours, the service is non-refundable.
Cancellations
If you cancel a service yourself, no refund or credit is issued for unused time, whether you cancel immediately or at the end of your billing period. The one exception is the 72-hour money-back guarantee above, on your first service.
Downgrades
Downgrading a service to a smaller plan does not generate a refund or account credit for the difference.
Account credit
Money you add as account credit is non-refundable.
If we end a service
If we end a service without cause, we'll refund the prorated amount of your remaining balance. Services ended for policy or payment violations are not refunded.
How refunds are issued
Refunds go back to the original payment method you used.
The exception is methods that can't be reversed: if you paid with cryptocurrency (Bitcoin or USDT), Alipay, DOKU, Boleto, or PIX, any refund you're due (including the 72-hour money-back) is issued as account credit instead. You can spend that credit on your services.
How long a refund takes: PayPal refunds usually appear within a few minutes. Card refunds typically take 4 to 6 days to show on your statement, depending on your bank's own policy. Refunds issued as account credit are available right away.
Things worth knowing
- Use the 72 hours to make sure the VPS suits you. If it does, keep it; if not, cancel within the window for a full refund.
Still need help?
You can open a support ticket. So we can help on the first reply, it's worth mentioning:
- whether you're within the 72-hour window,
- the service and invoice involved,
- what you'd like us to do.
