How to order a VPS
Ordering is quick: pick a plan, set it up how you like, create your account, and pay. Most servers are provisioned within minutes. Here's the whole thing, start to finish.
1. Pick a plan
Head to the product you want, Linux VPS, Premium VPS, or Windows VPS, and each plan lists its vCPU, RAM, NVMe storage, traffic, and price. Click Order Now on the one that fits. Not sure which to get? See Choosing the right VPS; you can always resize later, so a close fit is fine.
2. Configure your VPS
Order Now takes you to the configuration page, where you set your server up before it's built:
- Hostname (or Label on Windows) is optional, leave it blank and we'll pick one for you.
- A temporary root password (or Administrator password on Windows) is generated and shown once, with a Copy button. Save it somewhere safe.
- Location: choose the datacenter nearest your users.
- Operating system: pick a Linux distribution (a current LTS like Ubuntu is a safe default), or a one-click Application, or, on Windows, your Windows Server version. On Premium VPS you can also install your own non-Windows OS from an ISO later.
- Optional extras: depending on the product, you can add Nightly Backups, extra vCPU, extra storage, extra bandwidth, or additional IPs, now or any time later from your client area.
- SSH key (Linux and Premium): under Optional Configuration you can select or paste an SSH key and choose your login mode. Using a key is the most secure way in; you can also just use the password.
- Billing cycle: monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually.
When it looks right, click Deploy Now. A short review box confirms your choices (and reminds you to save the password), then you continue to checkout.
3. Create your account and enter billing details
At checkout, tell us who you are, so we can set up your account and send your invoice:
- New customer: enter your name, email, and a password, or sign up instantly with Google or GitHub. Then add your billing address and phone number.
- Already have an account? Switch to Existing client and sign in, your details are already on file.
4. Choose how to pay
Pick a payment method: Credit/debit card, PayPal, Google Pay, Bitcoin, USDT, or Alipay. Have a promo code? There's a box for it. Your order total and what renews are shown on the right, with any VAT or sales tax for your location added automatically (see taxes). For more on payments, see payment methods.
5. Complete your order
Click Complete Order and pay the invoice. Every new order is quickly screened for fraud, so if it's your first order it may take a little longer while we verify it (occasionally we'll ask a quick question, see My order is under review). Once it clears, your VPS is provisioned within minutes and we email you the details.
After you order
You'll get your server's IP and login. Connect over SSH (Linux and Premium) or Remote Desktop (Windows), and manage everything, power, reinstall, resize, backups, from your client area. And if it's your first order with us, it's covered by our 72-hour money-back guarantee, so you can buy with confidence. From then on, renewal invoices arrive 14 days before they're due, so there are no surprises, see when invoices are due.
